Health Improvement Plan
I’m here to share something amazing with all of you. I believe that you can apply the concept of Agile Project Management to regaining a healthy body despite working a desk surfing job. Not only do I believe it, but I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and put it to the test on myself. That’s right! Right here on Liv Cube Fit, I will chronicle my journey and my health improvement plan to regain my health.
What is Agile Project Management?
Here’s the basic concept of agile project management – first, you outline a big goal (or multiple big goals). Next, you break it down into tasks for achieving the goal. Continuing on, you continue to whittle down the tasks until they are broken into manageable tasks that span somewhere between 2 and 4 week time periods. As a result, you end up with a list of short-term tasks, and progress can be measured.
Am I simplifying this a bit? Yes. Do I think it will work? Yes, and here’s why – Agile Project Management focuses us on short-term, achievable wins. Yes, you always know what you are working toward. The best part of Agile is that after each sprint, tangible achievements are measured.
Creating a Health Improvement Plan for Desk Surfers
This is my premise for setting up Liv Cube Fit. I personally am seeking to regain my health while continuing to hold down a standard 9-to-5 job. I’m launching this site in the hopes that you all are going to keep me honest. I hope this blog returns the favor, inspiring some of you to seek your own goals. Maybe some of you will even be able to use the framework I am setting up to accomplish your own personal goals.
Please forgive me if I geek out here and there about defining what being healthy means. Together, let’s pursue that happy American dream of having it all!
